The filming of Provenance took place over twelve glorious days in the South of France in April 2016. The unit was based just outside the small village of Entrecasteaux in the Var Region and filming took place throughout the village and in the surrounding countryside.

The main character's home was an 18th Century farmhouse located about 5km outside Entrecasteaux and this is where the Cast and Crew lived throughout the shoot.

Other areas visited include the village of Tourtour and the Lac De Sainte Croix. Although Peter mentions going to the Abbey at Le Thoronet none of the Cast or Crew have ever made it along.

When filming was completed in France, the team moved back to the UK and shot for a further three days. Two of these days were in London - at a Hotel in Canary Wharf and at a bar in Covent Garden. The third day took place at a school in Sevenoaks, which stood in for our concert hall.
